The beans are generally boiled for quite a long period of time. In this recipe, I will give you a hint on how to reduce this time. The recipe of the salad is easy and the taste will exceed your expectations! This is not to mention the ingredients, which contribute to the taste of the dish!

  • plums: 0.5 cup (dried)
  • raisins: 0.3 cup
  • onion: 2 piece

  1. Let us start with soaking the beans first. The recipe was offered by Julia Child and it really helps save cooking time and reduces it to one hour. What you will need is 1 cup of beans and 3 cups of cold water.

  2. Wait until the water with the beans boils and continue boiling for 2 minutes. Take the pot off fire, cover with the lid and leave for 1 hour.

  4. Add 2 cups of cold water into the pot and boil on small fire until the beans are ready. Do not cover the pot with the lid!

  5. Wash the raisins and add hot boiling water for 3 minutes. Then rinse them and leave aside. Then wash dried plums and apricots and boil for about 3 minutes, then rinse the water. Chop the dried fruits.

  7. Fry on oil until the onion circles become golden.
