This basic chicken salad is the best and a family favorite. I like to use baked thighs or breasts that have been sprinkled with basil or rosemary.
- blanched slivered almonds : 0.5 cup
- mayonnaise : 0.5 cup
- lemon juice : 1 Tbsp
- ground black pepper : 0.25 tsp
- chopped, cooked chicken meat : 2 cups
- celery, chopped : 1 stalk
Stages of cooking
Place almonds in a frying pan. Toast over medium-high heat, shaking frequently. Watch carefully, as they burn easily.
