Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with remaining shrimp, battering a few at a time while the previous batch is cooking.

History of the Crispy Shrimp Tempura:

Tempura is a traditional Japanese dish that dates back to the 16th century. It was originally introduced to Japan by the Portuguese, who were in the country as missionaries and traders. The dish consists of seafood or vegetables that are battered and deep-fried until crispy. Over time, tempura has become a staple in Japanese cuisine, and is now a popular dish that is enjoyed all around the world.

Tips and Tricks for Crispy Shrimp Tempura Recipe:

  • Do not overmix the batter. The lumps in the batter help create the signature texture of tempura.
  • Use cold water when making the batter, as this will help make the shrimp crispy.
  • Do not overcrowd the deep-fryer. Frying too many shrimp at once can result in uneven cooking and soggy batter.
  • Use fresh shrimp, and make sure they are peeled and deveined properly.

Tips for presenting the dish:

Crispy Shrimp Tempura can be served as an appetizer, main dish, or finger food at a party. It is traditionally served with dipping sauce, such as soy sauce or tempura sauce. To give the dish an elegant touch, you can serve it on a platter with a garnish of shredded lettuce, sliced cucumbers, and fresh lemon wedges. The dish can also be served with a side of rice to make it a complete meal.
