Grilled salmon in vine leaves is an ideal recipe for any occasion, be it a family dinner or a picnic. The dish is easy to cook, so you just have to follow the steps mentioned in the recipe to surprise your friends and family with the unbelievable delicious grilled salmon they have not tasted before!

Ingredients

  • salmon: 200 g (fillet)
  • soy sauce: 2 Tbsp
  • smoked bacon: 4 piece (thin slices)
  • olive oil: 1 Tbsp
  • garlic: 1 clove
  • fennel: 1 bunch
  • cilantro: 0.5 tsp
  • vine leaf: 4 piece
  • black pepper: 0.25 tsp

  1. Remove the bones from the fillet and cut it into pieces about 1-1.5 cm each. All in all, the amount of salmon pieces should equal that of sliced bacon. Do not cut off the skin!

  2. Now, let’s cook the marinade for the salmon. With this purpose, take a bowl and mix soy sauce, chopped garlic, fennel, cilantro, olive oil and black pepper.

  3. Put salmon fillet into the marinade and leave for 15 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, wash the vine leaves, pour them with hot boiling water and leave for about 2 minutes. Do not forget to strain the leaves afterwards.

  5. Wrap each piece of salmon fillet into a piece of smoked sliced bacon.

  6. Take one vine leaf and put the piece of salmon wrapped in bacon on the edge of it.

  7. Wrap the salmon into the leaf well and stitch with the wooden stick. Repeat the step with all the leaves and salmon pieces you have.

  8. Grill your salmon pieces for 2 minutes on both sides.
