  1. Prior to cooking the dish, pre-heat the oven to 176 C (350 F) and cover the baking pan with parchment paper not to distract from the cooking process afterwards. Take a deep saucepan, heat it on medium fire and mix maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, ginger, coconut oil, vanilla and cloves in it. These are the ingredients for the syrup. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring the sauce several times. It should be liquid and warm with the salt dissolved in it well.

  2. Take another bowl and mix the oats, almonds, flax seeds, cashews, pumpkin seeds and chia seeds in it. Pour the warm sauce above this mixture and spread it evenly on the baking pan.

  3. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 15 minutes. Then remove the baking pan from the oven. While the granola is still warm, grasp all the corners of the baking paper and pull them  to the center of the pan to make a pile. Stir the granola with a spoon and spread it on the baking pan once again. Place into the oven for 5 more minutes. Repeat the previous step to check whether all the pieces of your granola are baked well. If there are any pale places, stir it one more time and place into the oven for 3-4 minutes more. As soon as the dessert is ready, take it away from the oven and leave on a baking pan to cool down.

History of the Holiday Spice Granola

Granola has been a beloved breakfast and snack item since the early 20th century in the United States. However, the holiday spice granola is a special twist on this classic that has become increasingly popular during the holiday season. The combination of warm spices and dried fruits makes it the perfect treat to enjoy during the colder months of the year, and its versatility makes it a go-to recipe for any festive occasion.

Tips and Tricks for Holiday Spice Granola Recipe

One of the most important tips for making this holiday spice granola recipe is using high-quality ingredients. For example, make sure to choose gluten-free rolled oats to ensure that the granola stays crunchy and has a good texture. In addition, using a mix of nuts and seeds will add a depth of flavor and texture to this dish that cannot be achieved by using just one or two types. To get the maximum flavor for the syrup, make sure to whisk all of the ingredients well and thoroughly dissolve the salt before adding it to the other ingredients.

Another important tip for this recipe is to not over-bake the granola. While it may be tempting to leave it in the oven for a little longer to get that extra crunchy texture, this can cause the granola to burn and lose its flavor. A good rule of thumb is to stir the granola every few minutes to ensure even baking and to remove it from the oven as soon as it is a light golden brown.

Tips for presenting the dish

Since this holiday spice granola is so versatile, there are endless ways to present it to friends and family. One idea is to package it in mason jars with a ribbon and a tag that includes the recipe. Another option is to sprinkle it over yogurt or oatmeal for a quick and delicious breakfast. Lastly, serving it as part of a snack board with dried fruits, nuts, and cheeses is an easy way to impress guests at any holiday gathering.
