Paneer is Indian cottage cheese. The dish is mainly popular in the northern part of the country.  It consists of two ingredients only and is quite easy to cook, although, it takes around 2 hours to cope with all the steps. Cook this healthy dish right away and enjoy it!

  • milk: 3 litre
  • lemon: 3 piece (or 4 tablespoons of lemon juice)

  1. Take a pot and heat milk in it. Wait until it boils.

  2. While the milk in boiling, add lemon juice and stir it well. If the cottage cheese does not start separating, add more lemon juice drops.

  3. As soon as the cottage cheese and water get separated, turn off the heat.

  4. Now, drain water in mesh filter.

  5. Then spoon the paneer into the soft cotton cloth and squeeze it well to get rid of extra water.

  6. Press the cotton cheese with a heavy object and leave for about 1.5 hours.

  7. Cut the readymade paneer into slices and store in a fridge for about one week. You are welcome to eat it now!  Bon appétit!
