Even if you’re ambivalent about radishes, you’ll love these simple French canapés. The combination of fresh baked bread, softened sweet butter, thinly sliced radishes and flaky sea salt is surprisingly delicious, especially with a crisp white wine.
- french bread : 1 baguette
- unsalted butter : 1 piece
- radishes : 1 bunch
- sea salt flakes : 0.5 tsp (fleur de sel, or kosher salt Chives)
Stages of cooking
Start by slicing the baguette into 1/4-inch slices, and then thinly slice the radishes.
Spread pats of the butter lavishly onto the bread.
Arrange the sliced radishes over top of the butter, and then sprinkle the canapés with a bit of sea salt and fresh chopped chives.
