Though it is vegetarian pilaf recipe, still it is substantial and tasty. You will make it very quickly, some cook it in a slow cooker. —hoose your way of cooking this Asian dish.
- powdered red pepper : 0.5 tsp
- butter : 3 Tbsp
- vegetable oil : 2 Tbsp
- salt : 1 pinch
- barberry : 1 tsp
- bulb onion : 1 piece
- carrots : 2 piece (medium)
- rice : 400 g
Stages of cooking
Peel onion and carrots. Chop onion and cut carrots into strips.
In a pan fry barberry.
Add carrots and bulb onion, fry until golden.
Rinse rice and spread it all over the vegetables.
You may leave little part of carrots and onions to make several layers. Add ground red pepper.
Pour water, so it must cover ingredients no less than 2 cm. Watch that pillaf doesn\'t get burnt. Approximately in 25 minutes it will be ready.
At the very end add butter. Also you may add garlic for a nice flavour. It is better to serve pillaf hot with fresh salads!
