A yogurt parfait often contains some of breakfast's major staples: yogurt, granola, strawberries and blueberries. You can make the treat as you wish! It is one of breakfast's most delicious meals, and the best part is it's easy to prepare. Children and adults will love this good-tasting, easy-to-make treat, with the added benefit of it being healthy.

Ingredients

  • yogurt: 1 cup (your choice of flavor)
  • fruits: 50 g (fruit, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, etc)
  • granola: 20 g
  • muesli: 30 g (optional)
  • jam: 1 Tbsp (fruit jam, optional)

  1. Prepare the ingredients to have them at hand while cooking your parfait.

  2. Take a large and nice-looking glass (like the one on the photo) so that it could contain more ingredients. Chill the glass in the freezer or a fridge before putting the ingredients inside it. This makes the food cool and keeps it fresh.

  3. Add 0.25 cup of yogurt. Don't add all of the yogurt yet; you still need room in the glass for the other ingredients.

  4. At this point, you may add any other ingredients to the parfait. This is what makes the dessert so unique. You can add strawberry jam, cereal, oatmeal, granola, fruit, or any other additives you like. Be sure to leave some room in the glass for other ingredients.

  5. Add the other 3/4 of a cup of yogurt. There should be more yogurt on the top of your parfait. If you have too much of it on the bottom, all of your cereal and fruit will sink and soak in the yogurt.

  6. You can also dredge the dessert with dark chocolate or cinnamon.

  7. Serve the dessert fresh and a bit cool, preferably right after you have prepared it. Enjoy!
