These Korean-style air-fried wings are crispy, sticky and spicy. Cooked in an air fryer they are ready in less than 30 minutes. They are perfect as an appetizer or add some rice and veggies on the side and you have a balanced meal.

Ingredients

  • hot honey (such as Mike's Hot Honey®): 0.25 cup
  • gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste): 3 Tbsp
  • brown sugar: 1 Tbsp
  • soy sauce: 1 Tbsp
  • lemon juice: 1 tsp
  • garlic: 2 tsp (minced)
  • fresh ginger root: 1 tsp (minced)
  • salt: 0.5 tsp
  • black pepper: 0.25 tsp
  • green onions (green part only): 0.25 cup (finely chopped)
  • chicken wings: 2 pound
  • salt: 1 tsp
  • garlic powder: 1 tsp
  • onion powder: 1 tsp
  • black pepper: 0.5 tsp
  • cornstarch: 0.5 cup
  • green onions: 2 Tbsp (chopped)
  • sesame seeds: 1 tsp

  1. Combine hot honey, gochujang, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, and black pepper in a saucepan. Bring sauce to a boil over medium heat, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes. Add green onions and stir. Dotdash Meredith Food Studios

  2. Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  4. Add cornstarch and toss wings until fully coated.
