Vietnamese-inspired pork and beef banh mi sliders. Spread with Sriracha-cilantro aioli and top with daikon cucumber relish and pickled carrots.

Ingredients

  • ground beef: 0.5 pound
  • ground pork: 0.5 pound
  • rolled oats: 0.5 cup
  • slice bread: 1 piece (shredded)
  • egg: 1 piece
  • onion: 0.25 piece (diced)
  • stalk green onion: 1 piece (sliced)
  • dry onion soup mix: 3 Tbsp
  • fresh basil: 2 Tbsp (chopped)
  • soy sauce: 1 Tbsp
  • fresh ginger root: 1 Tbsp (minced)
  • sesame oil: 0.5 Tbsp
  • slider-size burger buns: 1 pack (15 ounce pack)

  1. Gently mix beef, pork, oats, bread, egg, onion, green onion, soup mix, basil, soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil together. Form 10 slider-sized patties.

  2. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add patties and pan-fry until meat is browned and no longer pink in the centers, flipping as needed, 5 to 7 minutes.

  3. While patties fry, toast slider buns in a toaster until lightly browned, 30 seconds to 1 minute each.
