Cajun chicken pasta is easy and delicious. Cajun cooking combines French, Southern, and other influences. It's robust, country-style cookery, just like this dish. Laissez les bons temps roulez and bon appétit!

  • ounces linguine pasta: 4 piece
  • skinless, boneless chicken breast halves: 2 piece
  • Cajun seasoning: 2 tsp
  • butter: 2 Tbsp
  • red bell pepper: 1 piece (sliced)
  • green bell pepper: 1 piece (sliced)
  • mushrooms: 4 piece (sliced, fresh)
  • green onion: 1 piece (chopped)
  • heavy cream: 1 cup
  • basil: 0.25 tsp (dried)
  • lemon pepper: 0.25 tsp
  • salt: 0.25 tsp
  • garlic powder: 0.125 tsp
  • ground black pepper: 0.125 tsp
  • Parmesan cheese: 0.25 cup (grated)

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain.

  2. Cut chicken breast into strips. Place chicken and Cajun seasoning in a plastic bag. Shake to coat.

  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook, stirring, until browned and almost cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes.
