These fruity cranberry orange scones are made with buttermilk for a tender, flaky texture. A zesty orange glaze gives them an extra boost of citrus flavor.

Ingredients

  • unbleached all-purpose flour: 2 cups
  • cold, unsalted butter: 0.5 cup (cut into pieces)
  • white sugar: 0.25 cup
  • baking powder: 1 Tbsp
  • salt: 1 tsp
  • orange, zested and: 1 piece (juiced, divided)
  • cranberries: 1 cup (to taste, dried)
  • buttermilk: 1 cup
  • powdered sugar: 1 cup (to taste)

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
