This käsespätzle, also spelled kaese spaetzle, is a tasty homemade pasta tossed with onion and Emmentaler cheese. It's a German version of macaroni and cheese.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups all-purpose flour: 1 piece
  • ground nutmeg: 0.75 tsp
  • salt: 0.75 tsp
  • pepper: 0.125 tsp
  • eggs: 3 piece
  • ⅜ cup 2% milk:
  • butter: 3 Tbsp
  • ½ cups shredded Emmentaler cheese: 1 piece
  • onion: 1 piece (sliced)
