A thick and hearty lasagna roll-ups recipe filled with ricotta, Parmesan, and a beefy tomato sauce. A fun spin on a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • ground beef: 1 pound
  • white onion: 0.25 piece (chopped)
  • garlic powder: 0.5 tsp
  • oregano: 0.5 tsp (dried)
  • chunky tomato sauce (such as Ragu®): 1 jar (26 ounce jar)
  • white sugar: 3 Tbsp
  • lasagna noodles: 18 piece
  • cooking spray:
  • ricotta cheese: 1 container (15 ounce container)
  • egg: 1 piece (beaten)
  • fresh parsley: 2 Tbsp (chopped)
  • Parmesan cheese: 1 cup (divided, grated)
  • mozzarella cheese: 1 pack (12 ounce pack, or as needed, shredded)

  4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

  6. Place a lasagna noodle on a work surface. Spoon one layer ricotta cheese mixture, one layer meat sauce, and one layer mozzarella cheese atop lasagna noodle; top with another lasagna noodle.
