These classic scalloped potatoes are tender, creamy, and delicious. This is the way my mother always made her scalloped potatoes. The key is to heat the milk first!

Ingredients

  • potatoes: 3 pound (sliced)
  • onion: 0.5 piece (sliced)
  • all-purpose flour: 9 Tbsp (divided)
  • butter, diced and: 6 Tbsp (divided)
