Shrimp Bordelaise is one of the best and the most delicious recipes for those who are crazy about shrimps and dishes cooked of them. The dish belongs to the French cuisine and the result is so fantastic that your loved ones will keep asking you to cook the dish over and over again!
- shrimp : 1 kg (frozen)
- butter : 2 Tbsp
- carrots : 1 piece
- red onion : 1 piece
- garlic : 1 clove
- fennel : 0.5 bunch
- salt : 0.5 tsp
- white dry wine : 120 ml
- cognac : 50 ml
- flour : 1 Tbsp
Stages of cooking
Defreeze the shrimps.
Pour them with hot boiling water and peel, leaving the tails. Fry for about 1-2 minutes until the shrimp tails become crusty.
Slice the carrot into strips and chop the onion.
Melt butter in a frying pan…
… and fry garlic, carrot, onion and chopped fennel in it.
Fry the vegetables on small fire for about 10 minutes, stirring the dish from time to time.
Add shrimps and salt
Then add white dry wine…
… and cognac. Stir the dish well and make the fire stronger to boil the mixture.
Then reduce the fire and keep frying the shrimps for about 3 minutes, stirring them from time to time. If the shrimps are large, then increase the cooking time for several minutes.
Put the shrimps on a serving dish.
