This Texas-style pulled pork recipe has a tangy barbeque sauce that's easy to make in the slow cooker. I like to serve the shredded pork on toasted buttered rolls. My family's favorite!

Ingredients

  • vegetable oil: 1 tsp
  • pork shoulder roast: 1 piece (4 pound)
  • barbeque sauce: 1 cup
  • apple cider vinegar: 0.5 cup
  • chicken broth: 0.5 cup
  • light brown sugar: 0.25 cup
  • prepared yellow mustard: 1 Tbsp
  • Worcestershire sauce: 1 Tbsp
  • chili powder: 1 Tbsp
  • extra large onion: 1 piece (chopped)
  • cloves garlic: 2 piece (crushed)
  • ½ teaspoons dried thyme: 1 piece
  • hamburger buns: 8 piece (split)
  • butter: 2 Tbsp (or as needed)
