Ingredients

  • lean ground beef: 1 pound
  • onion: 0.5 cup (finely chopped)
  • thick teriyaki sauce: 0.75 cup
  • water chestnuts: 0.25 cup (drained, chopped)
  • pineapple tidbits: 0.5 can (8 ounce can, drained)
  • garlic: 1 tsp (finely chopped)
  • fresh ginger: 1 tsp (minced)
  • black pepper: (to taste, freshly ground)
  • sesame seeds: 1 tsp
  • green onion: 1 Tbsp (sliced)

  1. Brown ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium heat, crumbling as it cooks, until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is soft, about 5 minutes. Drain if necessary.

  2. Add teriyaki sauce, water chestnuts, pineapple, garlic, and ginger to the skillet; stir to combine. Turn the heat down, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
