This asparagus quiche has a delectable combination of ingredients that results in a tasty dish.

Ingredients

  • asparagus, trimmed and: 1 pound (cut into 1/2 inch pieces, fresh)
  • slices bacon: 10 piece
  • (8-inch) unbaked pie shells: 2 piece
  • egg white, lightly: 1 piece (beaten)
  • Swiss Cheese: 2 cups (shredded)
  • eggs: 4 piece
  • ½ cups half-and-half cream: 1 piece
  • ground nutmeg: 0.25 tsp
  • salt and pepper: (to taste)

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

  2. Place asparagus in a steamer over 1 inch boiling water. Cover and cook until tender but still firm, 2 to 6 minutes. Drain and cool.

  3. Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble and set aside.
