  • chayote squash: 1 piece (cut into 1/2 inch strips)
  • clove garlic: 1 piece (minced)

  • red pepper flakes: 0.25 tsp (optional)
  • ground black pepper: (to taste)
  • red wine vinegar: 1 Tbsp
