This baked potato casserole is great for preparing beforehand and then an easy 35-minute bake when company comes over.

Ingredients

  • butter: 2 Tbsp
  • potatoes: 9 piece (peeled)
  • sour cream: 1 container (8 ounce container)
  • cream cheese: 1 pack (6 ounce pack)
  • onion salt: 1 tsp
  • garlic powder: 0.5 tsp
  • dash ground black pepper: 1 piece
  • cheddar cheese: 0.5 cup (shredded)
  • pinch dried parsley flakes: 1 piece (to taste)
  • pinch paprika: 1 piece (to taste)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a casserole dish.

  2. Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.

  3. Drain potatoes; reserve water for mashing, if necessary. Add sour cream, cream cheese, onion salt, garlic powder, and pepper; beat until creamy. Pour into the prepared dish. Cover with Cheddar cheese, parsley, and paprika.
