This Hawaiian-inspired recipe does wonders for pork ribs. My mother made it when I was a child, and now I make it for my family. This recipe is very rich but very filling. It goes great with mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • vinegar: 0.25 cup
  • ketchup: 0.5 cup
  • soy sauce: 1 Tbsp
  • pineapple, undrained: 1 can (8 ounce can, crushed)
  • brown sugar: 3 Tbsp
  • cornstarch: 2 Tbsp
  • salt: 0.5 tsp
  • ginger: 0.5 Tbsp (grated, fresh, optional)
  • pork spareribs, cut into serving size pieces: 3 pound
