Japanese style teriyaki sauce/marinade that uses pineapple skins, apples and mirin.

Ingredients

  • soy sauce: 3 cups
  • ½ cups mirin (Japanese sweet wine): 1 piece
  • orange: 1 piece (juiced)
  • ounces chopped fresh pineapple with skin: 6 piece
  • Granny Smith apple: 1 piece (chopped)
  • garlic: 2 clove
  • fresh ginger root: 1 tsp (grated)
  • white sugar: 4 Tbsp (divided)
