  • butter: 0.5 cup (melted)
  • ground cinnamon: 1 tsp
  • pitted tart red cherries: 4 cups
  • water: 1 cup
  • white sugar: 1 cup
  • cornstarch: 2 Tbsp
  • vanilla extract: 1 tsp

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Mix brown sugar, flour, oats, butter, and cinnamon together in a bowl until crumbly. Press half the mixture into the bottom of an 8x8-inch pan; top with cherries.
