Wonderful drink for the summer or for a holiday party!

Ingredients

  • red wine: 2 bottles (750 milliliter bottles)
  • rum: 2 cups
  • orange juice: 2 cups
  • white sugar: 1 cup
  • pint fresh strawberries: 1 piece (sliced)
  • pineapple chunks in juice: 1 can (20 ounce can)
  • maraschino cherries: 1 jar (10 ounce jar, drained)
  • rum: 2 cups
  • orange juice: 2 cups

  1. In a large pitcher, mix the red wine, 2 cups rum, 2 cups orange juice, and sugar. Refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.

  2. In a large bowl, mix the strawberries, pineapple chunks, and maraschino cherries. Cover with 2 cups rum and 2 cups orange juice. Refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.

  3. Drain the fruit (reserve the liquid if desired). Mix the fruit into the pitcher with the sangria to serve.
