A delicious red cabbage salad that I used to get at my grandmother's favorite restaurant. The longer it sits the better it gets.

Ingredients

  • red wine vinegar: 0.66667 cup
  • canola oil: 0.5 cup
  • white sugar: 1 Tbsp
  • salt: 1 tsp
  • seasoned salt: 1 tsp
  • ground black pepper: 0.25 tsp
  • onion powder: 0.25 tsp
  • head red cabbage, cored and: 1 piece (shredded)

  1. Mix red wine vinegar, canola oil, sugar, salt, seasoned salt, pepper, and onion powder in a bowl.

  2. Place cabbage in a large glass bowl. Pour dressing over cabbage and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight, stirring occasionally. Drain before serving.
