Beef bulgogi with dipping sauce is a classic Korean barbeque dish that will knock your chopsticks off! Serve it over rice.

Ingredients

  • soy sauce: 0.25 cup
  • green onions, whites and greens: 3 piece (chopped)
  • white sugar: 3 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil: 1 Tbsp
  • garlic: 3 clove (crushed)
  • sesame oil: 1 tsp
  • sesame seeds: 1 tsp (toasted)
  • beef sirloin steak, very: 2 pound (sliced)
  • soy sauce: 6 Tbsp
  • rice vinegar: 2 Tbsp
  • toasted sesame seeds: 2 tsp (crushed)
  • fresh ginger root: 1 tsp (grated)
  • sweet paprika: 0.25 tsp
  • cayenne pepper: 0.25 tsp
  • pinch white sugar: 1 piece

  1. Mix 1/4 cup soy sauce, green onions, 3 tablespoons sugar, vegetable oil, garlic, sesame oil, and 1 teaspoon sesame seeds together in a bowl. Add beef to the marinade. Let sit until flavors are well absorbed, at least 30 minutes.

  2. Prepare dipping sauce: Mix 6 tablespoons soy sauce, vinegar, 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, ginger root, paprika, cayenne pepper, and 1 pinch sugar together in a separate bowl.
